Metro Fire Planners Conference 2012The Austin Fire Department (AFD) is busy planning the 32nd Annual Metro Fire Planners Conference! We will be updating the webpage as more information becomes available. Please check often to stay up-to-date.
Registration is OPEN! Please use the Registration & Payment page to get registered. The sooner the better --- there are only 45 slots available and they go FAST! About the Conference Operational, planning, and management practitioners from fire and EMS services in the US and Canada are coming together at the Hyatt Regency Austin (TX) to highlight best practices and discuss current issues. Registration is limited to the first 45 confirmed registrants to maintain the integrity of the conference format -so let us know soon if you are interested in attending by sending an email to the address above. Despite the name, all are welcome - participation is not limited to metro-sized departments. |
Open, Interactive and Informal
All sessions are held in an informal roundtable format (actually, it's square!). This isn't a conference where you kick-back and listen to a parade of speakers at the front of the room. If you're looking for a robust dialogue and interactive exchange of ideas, this is the conference for you. Participants come prepared to share best practices and seek ideas on challenges they are facing.
Diverse Topics
Developed from suggestions submitted by the participants, discussion topics have included - but aren't limited to: Organizational planning, performance measurement, staffing and deployment models, health and safety, GIS and other technologies, and many other current areas of interest. Submit your ideas now!
